South Carlsbad Beach

This explains to much.

My mom comes up with great ideas!

My cousin Sarah came down from Arizona and we decided to go to South Carlsbad Beach. Actually Mike decided for us to go to Encinitas Beach but being a Caldwell and all, somehow we just ended up in South Carlsbad Beach. It was not worth the hike there or back. Now keep in mind there are 4 adult women and 3 small children. We have will us 2 sleeping bags, a wagon full of sand toys, beach umbrella, a cooler, 5 beach bags, 7 towels, 2 beach chairs.....and did I mention 3 children. So we start to make our way down to the beach. We go all the way down this steep trail to turn the corner and discover there is a disgusting amount of rocks that we know get to walk over to get to the sandy area of the beach. There are the small rocks that hurt your arch support really bad to walk on because theres so many. Remember all the stuff, my mom, Kristi, Sarah and me are all trying to get it down these rocks and for some reason the little girls decided that needed to be carried the rest of the way. I'm getting a headache just remembering these details. So we finally get down and we had a great time. Sarah and I went boogie boarding. It was Sarah's first time and she enjoyed it. The girls just played in the sand and we searched for shells, ate tons of junk food and as always got a terrible sun burn. (Please note: the generic Target brand of sunscrean does not work)!!! After baking for 5 hours we started to head home. We thought we would wisen up and try to get to the car from the other side. What a nasty suprise it was to see six flights of stairs! So up the stairs we went, one sand wagon, cooler, 2 beach chairs, 7 beach towels, 2 sleeping bags, 5 beach bags, beach umbrella and 3 kids. All in all, it was a blast!

Girls Night Out!

Last weekend Sarah and Kasie came down and we had a great time. It seems like its been years since its been just the girls (Kristi, Kasie, Sarah and myself) My mom watched Rylee, Paisley and Laney and we headed to Dos Lagos. Most of the shops closed at 7 or 8 on Saturday. That was odd to all of us, so we went to dinner at Mac Grill. We just laughed and talked like we used to for so many years.

Kylie's Wedding

My good friend Kyle Peters got married on Saturday May 2nd. It was a beautiful wedding at Montelone Meadows in Murrieta. She looked goregous and it was very sweet. I learned that no matter whose wedding it is, I always cry when I see the bride. Its such a magical moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. I think about what great imagery it is, yet no comparison to how it will be to be in the presence of God and to see Christ! Magical indeed!

Stitches Out

On Thursday, April 23 Rylee got her stitches out. She didn't cry and held very still. She was great and her lip looked pretty good too. Its a little hard where the stitches were because of built up scar tissue but that will go away with some massaging and time. I decided to try and use Maderma for her scaring underneather her lip. The doctor pretty much laughed in my face when I asked about it, saying it was just a waste of money. He said it looks fine. I didn't really know what to do with that, so I am trying it anyway. Although, you are supposed to put it on 3 times a day, everyday. It was bad enough remembering to give her meds twice a day so we will see.......

Waiting for the doctor.

Still waiting

Stitches off!

All she wanted was to go to Chic-Fil-A and have chicken and milk.
